Mace entered the real estate sector managing industrial properties for a private realty trust where his skills were honed early, and he consistently delivered above-market cash flows. In 1981, he co-founded Montgomery & Associates in New York, which specialized in construction and commercial real estate. One of the firm’s principal clients convinced Mace to join them as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer. In this role with Big Yellow Mini-Storage Inc., an entity which controlled 25% of the mini-storage category in the New York metro area, he helped build the company’s value and played a key role in its sale to a major, publicly traded REIT.
Prior to joining Pinchal & Company, Brian was with Cassidy Turley as Senior Managing Director in the Houston office where he had leasing responsibility for a 4.2 million square foot portfolio of assets in Houston. Brian played an integral role in leading agency leasing and further developing the firm’s marketing systems and processes for Houston.
Mr. McMackin has represented institutional clients such as Goldman Sachs, Behringer Harvard, Shorenstein, GE, Lexington Realty Trust, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan among others on various real estate investment portfolios.
